		<description>I like your post and especially the last line.  We adopted our daughter at age 9, now 10 and came home Jan 31 of this year.

The last day of school she came to me with a situation.  It was the first time she was without her buddy system.  They were both performing in a jump rope competition. so I don&#039;t have any ears that could have told me what the situation really was.  But my daughter felt that she was picked on because she is Chinese.  She felt they were laughing at her.

I won&#039;t ever know for sure, but when I talked to her I explained a lot of things, and while talking I decided that it didn&#039;t matter if they were or were not really picking on her, it mattered how she felt.  So it is nice to hear from someone that I was on the right track that day.
